About your instructor

Founder & Classical Pilates Teacher

Hello! I'm Sarah Timlin, founder and classical Pilates teacher. Movement has always been an important part of my life. I first qualified as a Certified Personal Trainer in 2006 while working as an Estate Agent in Dublin. After becoming a busy mum of three and moving with my family to Sligo in 2016, I took some time away before returning to the fitness industry and requalifying as a Personal Trainer in 2021. My Pilates journey began when I was introduced to the method by my mentor, trainer and friend, Claire Gethins. I immediately connected with the principles of Pilates and went on to qualify in Mat Pilates in 2022, followed by equipment training by 2025. My approach to movement is simple: movement is about so much more than aesthetics. I believe in building strong, functional and resilient bodies that allow us to move well, feel well and continue doing the things we love for as long as possible. At The Pilates Place, my aim is to help every client move with greater confidence, strength and awareness — creating a body that supports them through every stage of life.
